Koichi Sato

Born in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan in 1944. Graduated from the Department of Industrial Arts (presently known as the Design Department), Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He began to work as a free-lance designer in 1971 after working for the publicity section of Shiseido Co., Ltd. He has been a professor at Tama Art University since 1995. Pieces of his works are in the collections of various museums around the world including The New York Contemporary Museum.
